#HerStory 28: Maya Deren by Pia Guerrero

Leading artist during the Feminist Art Movement, Maya Deren was an experimental filmmaker and entrepreneurial promoter of the avant-garde in the 1940s and 1950s. She was also a choreographer, dancer, film theorist, poet, lecturer, writer and photographer. Today Pia Guerrero, founder of Adios Barbie and our very own executive director here at SheHeroes discusses Maya Deren.

This podcast is a syndication of The #HerStory Podcast, which tells the stories of 50 historical women, not through names and dates of textbooks, but through the voices of contemporary women.
