Maggie Marconi, historian and museum professional, shares the story of one of the most infamous leaders of the American Woman’s Suffrage movement, Alice Paul. In addition to her work as an American suffragist Paul was a fierce feminist and dedicated women's rights activist. Not only was she the main leader and strategist of the 1910s campaign for the 19th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, which granted women the right to vote she also spent a half century as leader of the National Woman's Party, fighting for the Equal Rights Amendment to secure constitutional equality for women.
